 I'm not sure what's triggering the segmentation fault, but I hope the
 debug log can help someone more savvy than me in figuring it out.

 This started after I rebuilt Pidgin from source to integrate the XEP-0280
 patch (v5).  Since that caused it to crash, I uninstalled and reinstalled
 pidgin from the Pidgin PPA repository.  However, the frequent crashes
 didn't stop.
