 I am using the AIM, Yahoo, and Facebook services and I don't receive new
 email notifications on any service. New mail notifications are turned on
 on all 3 services. I've tried sending test messages and I've tried
 starting Pidgin when I knew I had unread mail and have never received any
 notification. I'm running version 2.10.11 on Windows 7 Ultimate SP1
