Comment:

 This type of request is better handled as an email to the support mailing
 list (support at pidgin.im) rather than a ticket.

 You basically can't do what you want directly without code changes or a
 custom plugin.
 What you can do is to make the `~/.purple/logs` directory not writeable
 via filesystem permissions to prevent log files from being created.
