New description:

Ever since I upgraded to Windows 10 five months ago, Pidgin chat windows
will not retain their positioning after being closed. I put my chat window
in the very bottom right corner of my monitor when I open it. I have
several other program windows set up in specific positions at all times to
maximize my efficiency and, to a lesser extent, aesthetic.

When I close a Pidgin chat window, the next time it's opened it opens with
a gap/border on the right and bottom side of the window.

I always purposely position my chat window to be touching the bottom-right
corner of my monitor, as can be seen here: http://i.imgur.com/Us9Y8IU.png

However, when I close the chat window and open it back up again
eventually, it repositions itself like this:
http://i.imgur.com/SjKD7zT.png You can see the obvious gap on the right
 and bottoms sides.

No other program or windows behave like this. Even the Pidgin main
conversation list window retains its desired position after being closed
and even after I close and re-open the program itself. This behavior only
started after my upgrade to Windows 10.

Some details that might be worth nothing: If I position the chat window
along the top-right corner of my desktop and close/re-open it, the gap
only appears on the right hand side of the window. No gap on the top.
Similarly, if I position the chat window along the top-left corner of my
desktop and close/re-open it, the gap only appears on the left hand side
 of the window.

This is just a very strange issue to me, considering that it only began
after the Windows 10 upgrade and ''especially'' considering that the main
Pidgin conversation list window behaves perfectly fine and stays put where
 I want it to.

I also ran a debug log in which I closed a chat window, opened it back up,
and repositioned it where I want it to be, the file is attached.
