 I am on Gentoo Linux. The same appeared here.
 After searching, I figured out that "tinfo" is a flag of ncurses
 (support).

 After trying to compile pidgin (this version) WITHOUT ncurses support, I
 successfully compiled it to the end and able to launch it.

 If you really want to have ncurses support in pidgin, then the system
 ncurses lib would have to be recompiled again without the "tinfo" flag or
 support, which I wouldn't advise.


 You would have this dangerous situation, that entire applications in your
 system, due it's leak of dependency wouldn't be capable to start at all.
