 I am trying to reproduce your bug,but it seems like it is working fine to
 me, I am using the nmcli commands in order to connect-disconnect my
 network while pidgin is opened, and it doesn't get segfault.
 Are you using some NetworkManager applet or something like? Even if you
 could give me some more related information of your environment (like
 window manager, desktop environment, networkmanager version...)
