 I’m using “:ムだ⎔N” as nickname in some XMPP MUC rooms.  As a result,
 pidgin doesn’t recognize a highlight when chat messages are addressed to
 me and won’t alert me in any way.

 I would expect to get a changed tray icon, a blue room name, and the
 message itself highlighted as would happen when using a more reasonable
 nickname such as “Leon”. :)

 This is Pidgin 2.10.11-2.fc21 (libpurple 2.10.11) on Fedora 21.
