Comment:

 Sadly, there is nothing about it in there. The message don't even appear
 in the XMPP console.

 Then I noticed that with a different Jabber server, there is no problem.
 So this is probably not a Pidgin bug but an Openfire bug. Sorry to waste
 your time hre.
