 If you search online, you'll find other instances of this. The general
 consensus is that it's a issue on Google's side and can't be solved by
 Pidgin. If I recall correctly, it's thought to be DNS-related. I'm not
 sure whether it has anything to do with the fact that they no longer
 support federation with non-Google XMPP servers.
