 Upon attempting to start Pidgin for Windows on an older computer running
 Windows 2000, a dialogue box appears:
 "Pidgin.exe - Entry Point Not Found".
 "The procedure entry point freeaddrinfo could not be located in the
 dynamic link library WS2_32.dll."
 [OK]
 Followed by this dialogue:
 "Error"
 "Error loading pidgin.dll.
 Error: (127) The specified procedure could not be found."
 [OK]
 Then the program exits.

 The crash occurs immediately after a stock installation. I cannot find the
 .purple directory in my %appdata% folder to try to upload a .RPT file, and
 cannot find any information about this nature of crash in any existing
 trouble ticket. I am logged into an Administrator account. The only
 information I can find about the error is a Microsoft Knowledgebase
 article stating that the function "freeaddrinfo" does not exist in Windows
 2000.
 I've attached a debug log pre-emptively in the hopes that it is useful.
 If Windows 2000 and earlier are not supported anymore, please remove
 references from them under Using Pidgin and other documentation, or
 specify which versions the program will run.
