New description:
I've been attempting to build finch from source from source on windows
using the wiki:
https://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/BuildingWinPidgin?version=161
I've made attempts to run ./configure --disable-gtkui using MSYS/MinGW and
MSYS2 and each time I receive an error about inet_aton being missing when
using the suggested MINGW GCC packages version 4.7.2 which is there the
error comes from. Is there a way around this?
I've tried to use MSYS2's gcc library but I get an error about glib being
missing even though I have it installed. Is there a workaround? I know LRN
builds pidgin through MSYS2, is there a chance the wiki could be updated
to should details for building in msys2?
