 I'm pretty sure this relies only on GTK+. The next major Pidgin release
 (3.0) will update from GTK+ 2 to GTK+ 3, which may improve this. However,
 I don't know if there's anything else we can do. Does anyone with more
 Pidgin GUI experience want to weigh in?
