 In Arch, I've gotten a report about this issue now that we package the tip
 of the release-2.x.y branch. [1]

 In the release-2.x.y branch this was merged as 187b51ce9922 with a follow
 up correction in 136a5e95a1ad. In absence of a proper fix, I believe both
 of these should be backed out.
