 KDE Frameworks 5.19.0
 Plasma Workspace 5.5.4
 Qt 5.5.1
 openSUSE Tumbleweed (20160228) (x86_64)

 I also read somewhere, that legacy tray icon support was added in Plasma
 5.x. So I probably have a configuration issue or a distribution specific
 issue.
