 Hi windseeker, Thanks for the update on the current state of the
 situation.

 I just want to add here that pidgin developers never said they/we don't
 want to move to the new specification for system notifications. In fact, I
 do want to get to it and I do want to use my time to get it done.
 Unfortunately, there are other things I'm working on. This one is pretty
 high in my list of priorities.
