 I am attempting to use Pidgin behind a corporate firewall that has
 recently migrated to McAfee. Pidgin worked fine prior to the migration.
 Now, when I try to connect (Google, ICQ), the connection times out. I
 receive the following in the debug log when trying to connect:

 Google:
 (14:31:35) proxy: Attempting connection to 153.2.231.107
 (14:31:35) proxy: Connecting to talk.google.com:5222 via xxx.xxx.com:8080

 Miranda IM connects fine with the same settings as Pidgin for proxy and
 connectivity. Not sure why Miranda works and Pidgin doesn't. I prefer
 Pidgin. Help!
