I am attempting to use Pidgin behind a corporate firewall that has
recently migrated to McAfee. Pidgin worked fine prior to the migration.
Now, when I try to connect (Google, ICQ), the connection times out. I
receive the following in the debug log when trying to connect:
Google:

Miranda IM connects fine with the same settings as Pidgin for proxy and
connectivity. Not sure why Miranda works and Pidgin doesn't. I prefer
Pidgin. Help!
