#17013: Conversation logging disabled for time travelers
------------------------+-----------------------------------------
 Reporter: bojay | Owner:
     Type: defect | Status: new
Milestone: Next Minor | Component: pidgin (gtk)
Version: 2.10.11 | Keywords: datetime, date, time, win32
------------------------+-----------------------------------------
 PROBLEM
 -
Setting the system time to a future date/time and then back causes Pidgin
(For Windows) to not log any conversations until the previous date again
 matches the current system time.

 AFFECTS
 -
Anyone who goes more than 88 MPH in a Delorian, owns a TARDIS, Or whose
current measurement of time is in stardates instead of the older Gregorian
Calendar, and still uses Pidgin. Other computers in time travel devices
may also be affected if the system time is changed. This issue probably
doesn't affect the Linux version of Pidgin, because handling of datetime
conversion wasn't created by the bastard offspring of a rubik's cube and a
 pachinko machine.

 WORKAROUND
 -
Delete or rename the log files created in the future, or reset the 'file
created' time. A new logfile with the correct datetime should be created
and logging restored. On Windows, these files are usually located in
 C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\.purple\logs\jabber ; All log files
in all subdirectories with future timestamps must be deleted/renamed or
the timestamp reset to the current system time, or earlier. Not tested for
 Linux (obviously).
