 I'm not very versed in the Lync login process. Still, I find it pretty odd
 that the server is replying to your SIP REGISTER request with an HTTP
 response.

 `sipe_core_connect: user specified SIP server XEUCCWeb01.bpglobal.com:443`

 Are you sure this server you've set up manually in Pidgin account
 preferences is correct? What happens when you enable server auto-discovery
 by leaving `Server[:Port]` field blank?
