Comment:

 It seems to be attempting to load IBus modules for gtk 3, when pidgin uses
 gtk 2.

 You probably have the GTK_IM_MODULE_FILE environment variable pointing to
 the wrong place, or some other misconfiguration. Either way, not a bug in
 pidgin.
