#17287: Pidgin Freezes During Typing

 This does not happen when Pidgin should be sending a beep or making a
 noise. Has nothing to do with themes because I do not run any but the
 default.
 It's not when I'm pasting anything either. Just typing normally. I will
 keep typing, Pidgin will stop responding. After a few seconds, nothing
 responds. The buddy list is solid white where the buddies should be.
 Unresponsive. Other windows cannot be clicked on or accessed.
 CPU spikes to 25% or higher, nothing showing any reason for the spike.
 Only way to regain Pidgin is to crash in Task Manager and restart.
 I do leave Pidgin open for weeks on end. This usually happens when it's
 only been open for a couple of days.
 It used to do it when I had TVersity running, citing a runtime error, so I
 thought it was conflicting with that. I do not run TVersity on this system
 anymore and I hadn't had a problem for a while, but it's started again.
 This time, no runtime error, nothing at all.
