 Since version 2.13 I no longer receive emoji. I do receive smileys if they
 are typed as text, but not those which are typed directly from a mobile
 device, for example.

 Instead they show up as a random unicode string:
 https://uppit.eu/f/i8izK4taJfa.

 In version 2.12 it looked like this: https://uppit.eu/f/29yxnb1bV21

 This is a list of smiley themes I have installed:
 https://uppit.eu/f/pQUvmyw3Iok

 The bug reproduces with each of them, and it also reproduces if there is
 no smiley theme enabled.
