Comment:

 The current Log Reader plugin, like Pidgin itself, is written in C.
 Parsing text in C is... a pain. I'm closing this bug, as there is no
 realistic chance I'm going to work no this general problem. If I was to
 tackle the bigger issue of enhancing Log Reader, I would probably start by
 rewriting it in Python.

 As to your specific issue with importing Miranda logs... Even if the
 format is pretty trivial, you're talking about probably multiple full days
 of work to do this in C, or to start the plugin over in Python. Unless you
 can find someone who is interested in this for themselves, you're probably
 going to need to pay thousands of dollars to get it done.

 If I were you, I would focus my efforts on a one-time conversion script,
 which it seems you have already found. I would try to find a programmer
 for hire to help you modify that script.
