 Do you still have this problem ?
 I tried to reproduce the bug but Sort Buddies is working well for me.
 I use the last Pidgin version (2.13.0) on Debian 9.5.
 Could you give us more informations concerning your environment. Are you
 using Windows or Linux ?
 Are you using plugins too ?
