 I've been having this problem for a while and nothing seems to be fixing
 it. Randomly I will be writing in pidgin and it just locks. I cannot click
 a new window, I can't finish typing. I can't even open the pidgin buddy
 list. There's no way to do anything. CPU jumps from 2% to 25% and all 25%
 is for Pidgin according to task manager. GDI objects is at less than 530.
 The only way out of it is to crash pidgin entirely and reopen. The only
 plugin I run is Message Notification 2.13.0
 Running pidgin 2.13
 Windows 7.
 I used to think it was because I had too many things open but I only run
 Discord and Pidgin, not even a browser open, and it does it. Sometimes it
 would lag/temporarily freeze if I had Word open and was saving/closing.
 Sometimes it seemed to freeze if I was running my Media Center to stream
 to my TV. I stopped streaming. It continues.
 I didn't have word open, it continued. I used to be able to leave Pidgin
 running for months and it wouldn't cause issues. Now I've only had it open
 2 days.
 Only running XMPP accounts (google).
