Comment:

 Our use of webkit in pidgin3 is being removed.  It is being replaced by a
 new implementation of our old GtkIMHTML widget.  It's named talkatu and
 can be found at https://bitbucket.org/pidgin/talkatu.

 As such, I'm closing this as wontfix.
