 > I wanted to post the core-dump as pidgin crashes on start up, but my
 ticket was marked as spam.
 > In the last days I found that one account caused the problem, as I
removed all accounts from the accounts.xml file and pidgin started again.

 > - Telegram
 > - Rocket.Chat
 > Rocket.Chat is the only account I care about, so I tried to set this one
up again, but it seems that the plug-in has a problem with self-signed (or
signed by let's encrypt) certificates, so I cannot use pidgin any more.
Skye Web is nice to have, but as you cannot make calls it's useless.
Telegram would work, but I don't use it that much.

Rather than attach a core dump (which is going to be specific to your
machine) it'll be much better to paste in the backtrace

In terms of the certificates, do you have the Lets Encrypt root
 certificate installed in your Pidgin?

Please feel free to open a new issue on the Rocket.Chat plugin's issue
tracker if that's easier for you, too https://bitbucket.org/EionRobb
