as-is, the logo probably won't be used very many places in its
entirety like that. You've probably all seen the application icons:

There are also black and white versions of the logo suitable for
places where the "gradients and stripes and other things" are less
desirable in favor of simplicity.

But, yeah, I've certainly not heard that one yet.
