Search within contacts list in search box

I'm not sure of the behaviour you're suggesting, and I'm not likely to 
check out the sametime client.  But in the Pidgin buddy list, you can do 
basic search simply by typing.  A little box will show up in the bottom 
right, showing what you've typed, and the selection will go to the first 
match.  Using the mouse wheel or control+(shift+)G will move the 
selection through the matches.  As far as I can tell, it's only a simple 
search that matches strictly from the beginning, non-case-sensitive.
