Cool.  When I get a chance I'll play with trying out getting it  
working...  For Adium, compatibility with iChat (e.g. its weird file  
transfer method) is important, so a switch wouldn't be made  
immediately, but I don't need to argue here as to why it's a win to  
use a feature-equivalent-or-better libpurple version at some point in  
the future over a codeset being seen by nobody but Adium hackers.

Do you know if anyone has looked at the voice/video over Bonjour stuff  
that iChat does?
