i wrote tlen.pl plugin myself long time ago.  it worked fine with gaim
and it works fine nowadays with the latest pidgin version.  if you use
openbsd, ubuntu or mandriva (i bet that other linux distributions include
it nowadays too) then it's very likley that it's already provided by
your os.

and install from sources yourself.
