problems with password change

Hi!

I hope you can help me. I'm using Gaim 2.0.0beta6 (with Ubuntu 7.04). 
Yesterday I changed my password for my ICQ-account with Gaim. But it 
seems like this worked wrong. Now I'm no langer able to login. My 
password contains special characters. Could this be the problem? Any ideas?
