about dim idle buddies

i would like to know how to disable the dim idle buddies option.
as of this point i believe to have found that this possibility does not 
exist anymore.

if that is true, then it is a mystery to me why one would want to do that.
of course you can confuse ordinary people with too much options. but i 
would be happy about at least being able to change this in the config 
files. i use gaim 2.0.0beta3.1 under ubuntu linux (edgy eft)

my main question is:
how can i disable dim idle buddies, without messing with the sourcecode?
