New tray icon set been discussed yet?

Was noting that the new tray icon set is rather bland and almost matches 
some of the other icons for other programs I use, so I tend to miss when 
Pidgin is informing me I have a message or other notifications.  Should the 
icons be integrated with a general Pidgin icon so we are aware that Pidgin 
is what is notifying us of an event?
