I totally agree with everything Luke has said.

In a broader sense, I proposal a general goal of targeting regressions
and bugs in new functionality for the next release and I think we should
tackle those before implementing new functionality, when practical.

So, in this case, any regressions in 2.0.0 as well as bugs in new 2.0.0
functionality would be our priorities for 2.0.1. Once those are fixed,
we can, for example, merge the MSN code. Then our top goal for the next
release would be to fix bugs in the new MSN code.

We have a great opportunity here because the bug tracker has been reset.
All the old cruft has been left behind. If we get on top of bugs now and
stay on top of them, things won't get out of control. I know it's more
fun to write new features than to fix bugs, but bugs are really
frustrating!
