Serverside Purple

Hi all,
I have successfully used libpurple in a client side application, however I
want to experiment with integrating it into a server-side collaboration
system. This is naturally a totally different way of dealing with
connections and perhaps even the glib main event loop... I was wondering if
there are already some tips/pointers available for the problems one will run
into when undertaking this effort?
