When logged into XMPP friends and myself show offline in chat and cant authorize buddies pidgin 2.2.2

What exactly does that status information for people in a chatroom have to
do with your problem in the buddy list? How are you adding people to the
buddy list? As 'username' or as 'username at server'? You need the full
'username at server' format for XMPP buddies.
