I don't understand what you are suggesting here.  I would *not* want
my conversations to be cleared after 1 hour of idle time, and while I
would not throw a riot, I would be quite disappointed if my logs were
disjoint after only one hour of idle time.  What do you intend to do
with *open* conversations, exactly?
