search function in the mailing list

hi, here,

why where is not search function in the mailling list, it is very hard to find the mail related to the specified subject.



one more question, when i install pidgin 2.3.1 from the src,

after ./configure, run make , the output error:
gtkmain.c:409:1: directives may not be used inside a macro argument
gtkmain.c:408:24: unterminated argument list invoking macro "_"
gtkmain.c: In function `show_usage':
gtkmain.c:412: `_' undeclared (first use in this function)
gtkmain.c:412: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
gtkmain.c:412: for each function it appears in.)
gtkmain.c:412: syntax error before string constant
make[3]: *** [gtkmain.o] Error 1
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1

but  pidgin 2.4.1 compiles and runs well.
