Note that the code wasn't written in a way that it's accessible by  
plugins other than the xmpp plugin itself. A lot of IPC hooks would  
have to be integrated into the xmpp plugin to get this to work.

However, it was written in a way so it's easy to add support for more  
PEP nodes.
