increasing default entry textbox height

Thanks, I know you can increase it manually, but I was wondering about a 
default setting, so that I would never have to set it for a "new" window.

Also, it seems this setting isn't saved for IRC channels, so every time 
I enter an IRC room, I have to adjust this height again.
