Geez,
a) MSN is arguably the most used protocol in the world, are you going
to not integrate features because they only apply to msn? [1]
b) If a feature is protocol-specific, but it makes sense, there's the
possibility for future protocols to use it, and current protocols to
add it
c) Why are you asking this question? You are a developer of an IM
library that is supposed to support all the major protocols properly.
I've answered this question before, and you can answer it yourself by
doing your homework.
Grep for your serv_got_alias in your code and find out. Add IRC to the
list, I don't know why you are not calling serv_got_alias there.
