thanks for doing this! :) I have been putting off trying out the vv 
branch because of the lack of a simple command like
$VCS GET URL
in the mtn Pidgin repos' case.

Are there some special or private branches that are not converted?
Michael's VV work has moved from the SoC branch, but is apparently not 
in git.
