How to manipulate status on a prpl with NULL status IDs?

Status gurus,

For prpls which use NULL status ids, such as gadu-gadu, how is the UI  
supposed to set the status?  For example, gadu-gadu has  
PURPLE_STATUS_AVAILABLE, PURPLE_STATUS_AWAY, and  
PURPLE_STATUS_INVISIBLE PurpleStatusPrimitive status types, each with  
a NULL id.

All the purple_account_* API for statuses  
(purple_account_set_status()  and purple_account_set_status_list()),  
however, takes a const char *status_id as a required parameter.

What's a UI to do?
