Regarding GSoC

Hi all,

 I am Ajay Kumar Chintala, an engineering student from India. I am planning
to take part in GSoC this year and hoping to find a project under pidgin. I
am proficient in C and Socket programming. I am interested in implementing
VoIP services to pidgin. I saw a project YAVVA - Yet Another Voice & Video
Application<http://code.google.com/soc/2008/pidgin/appinfo.html?csaid=E50F2A539F7952CC>which
was done under GSoC 2008. It aims to fix audio implementation for XMPP
and implement video for XMPP. I wonder if i can still go for VoIP
implementation.

 I am new to pidgin development. As there is still time to accept the
applications, i feel that i can get familiar with pidgin source code and
development. Can you please suggest me where to start from and also please
tell me if i can still go with the VoIP implementation. If not, please
suggest some some areas that i could work on.
