We do, but the application period hasn't started yet (it's coming up
though! Hint Hint Mark!). 

If you plan to submit an application for a pidgin project, it's a good
idea to take a look at http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/FutureSOCProjects
and past projects http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/SummerOfCode2008 and
http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/SummerOfCode2007 . You are welcome to
come up with your own idea though, and ideas on the FutureSOCProjects
page will not necessarily be accepted or suitable for you.
