wonder if this idea could make a good SoC project..

Hello,

I'm trying to applying for SoC 2009, and for this project I want to
improve the protocol for QQ, the IM used by majority of Chinese
people. Currently Pidgin's support for QQ is quite basic, and I'm
thinking it would be nice to have the following features:

* Support for customized status
* Support for buddy profile pic
* Support for picture sharing
* Support for file transferring

Wonder if my idea makes a good SoC project...Every bit of suggestion
welcomed. Thanks a lot.
