Google Summer of Code

Hello, I am a student looking to apply for the Google summer of code with
Pidgin. Im looking for something that does not require a lot of programing
experience, but I would love to lean more. so far the SMS plugin idea looks
good.
I know that AIM also has support for sending SMS messeges and I think google
talk does too.
