In paste I wanted several times to send patches to Pidgin (on libpurple part) to
fix minor bugs, and I was discouraged by the complexity of monotony.

I'm not a developer, but a potentially contributor, as I'm the author of
minbif[1], a libpurple frontend. So I don't know if my vote will be taken into
account.

For my part, I would vote for git.
