Why cannot send email when adding gtalk plugins

The thing is, you don't actually have a contact email address.  It
*just so happens* that anne.pipi at gmail.com is an actual email address,
but the XMPP standard doesn't say that this is necessarily the case.
It may be the case for all @gmail.com addresses (I suspect it is, in
fact, I don't know how to create a gtalk gmail.com account without an
associated GMail account), but it's certainly not the case for other
addresses -- for example, anyone with a jabber.org account.

Now, the user's info might include an actual email address.  If it
does, I see no reason we couldn't invoke a mailto: for that address.
You're welcome to file a ticket requesting an enhancement.
