Gobjectification status

Hello

My name is Ankit Vani, an undergraduate in my final year at Sinhgad
Institute of Technology in India.
I am interested in adopting a decent segment of the pidgin source to
remodel it around the GObject for Google Summer of Code 2013.

There is a separate repository for gobjectification, but it seems to be
untouched for 10 months now.
The main codebase of pidgin has moved on. So should I work on
gobjectification repository or pidgin-main?

There is also a pidgin/gobjectification_conversation repository - what is
it's purpose?
It would be helpful if I may be able to talk to any of you on IRC. can I be
pointed towards someone who I can talk to regarding my proposal?
